These boards are hand-scraped and brushed, giving them a similar appearance to reclaimed wood. They have also had their knots filled with black filler giving character to the planks. All the floors from our Highbury Range are made with European Oak. They come in widths from 190mm widths, up to a massive 300mm width. Note we can create these finishes on different width boards, but it is then a bespoke floor. You can buy cheaper reclaimed effect floors on the market, but we often see poorly filled knots or inconsistent oil application on these types of floors. Our advice, if budgets are lower, is go for a more straightforward finish from our Newington Range. Whilst the quality is still high, there are fewer processes to make these floors, so the price is lower. These floors are priced from £109 per m². Note, many are stocked, so available on short lead times. However, with pre-finished floors you can get more complex, to the point where the finishing becomes art. Our Epping Range are our magnet floors; people are simply drawn to them. What makes them different is how the grains pop in a different colour. This is achieved by finishing the floor with multiple coats of oil, then brushing off layers, so only certain colours sit deep within the grains. As with all our floors at Kite, we try and keep things simple; there's a natural colour, a raw finish and a grey. These floors are all made to order, which means you can have any shape, width or thickness.
