Most people who want a real wood floor end up talking themselves out of it. Kids, dogs, spilt wine, muddy boots, a dropped pan, "wood will never cope," they think. So they buy vinyl instead. A plastic floor pretending to be wood.

These are engineered oak floors finished with commercial-grade lacquers, the same class of finish specified for high-traffic spaces like department stores. In plain English: they shrug off daily life. Scratches, scuffs, spills, the school run, the dog skidding round the kitchen, the floor just gets on with it. No re-oiling, no "shoes off at the door" rules unless you want them.
